Namiseom Island (nami island)

Namiseom Island is 63 km away from Seoul in the direction of Chuncheon, and is famous for its beautiful tree lined roads. The island is 30 minutes away from Chuncheon and an hour away from the suburbs of Seoul. Since it is not far from Seoul, many couples and families come to visit. (http://english.visitkorea.or.kr)

bukchon hanuk village

Meaning ‘North Village’, Bukchon, between Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung, is home to around 900 hanok, Seoul’s largest concentration of these traditional Korean homes. It’s a busy tourist area, but it’s still a pleasure to get lost in the streets here admiring the patterned walls and tiled roofs contrasting with the modern city in the distance.

Incheon International Airport

Regularly ranked as one of the world's best airports, this top-class operation 52km west of Seoul was enhanced yet further in 2018 with the opening of Terminal 2 in time for the Winter Olympics.

gangnam, K-star road

Gangnam's 'Hallyuwood Walk of Fame' pays homage to K-Pop stars in the form of cutesy bear sculptures dedicated to K-Wave singers and actors.

Dongdaemun Design Plaza & Park

Designed by the late Zaha Hadid, this neofuturistic cultural complex was commissioned to replace the Dongdaemun Stadium, built during Japanese rule in the 1920s. Dubbed the 'largest three-dimensional atypical structure in the world', the undulating aluminium and concrete landmark comprises galleries, event spaces, design shops and lawns that rise up to its roof. The attached Dongdaemun History & Culture Parkincludes museums that highlight past uses of this area, such as a 16th-century military camp.

petite france

Petite France is located in Gapyeong, near Nami Island and Gangchon Rail Bike Park. Petite France is a small French village consisting of museum, workshops, restaurant, cafe and a guesthouse where everyone can experience French culture. There is a museum in remembrance to the author of the celebrated French novel, 'Le Petite Prince'. Immerse yourself in the 'flowers, stars, and the Little Prince' experience! Petite France was also featured on many dramas and variety shows, such as Beethoven Virus, Secret Garden, Running Man and most recently, You who came from the Stars. You cannot say that you have been to Gapyeong unless you have visited Petite France!

Gwanghwamun Square

This broad, elongated square provides a grand approach to Gyeongbokgung and is used for various events (as well as protests). Giant statues celebrate two national heroes: Admiral Yi Sun-sin, 1545–98, who stands atop a plinth at the square's southern end; and King Sejong, 1397–1450, who sits regally on a throne in the middle of the square. An entrance at the base of the King Sejong statue leads down to an underground exhibition with sections on both the men.

N Seoul Tower & Namsan

The iconic N Seoul tower (236m), atop the city’s guardian mountain Namsan, offers panoramic views of this immense metropolis from its observation deck. Come at sunset and you can watch the city morph into a galaxy of twinkling stars. Up top is the upmarket N.Grill and a cafe. The tower has become a hot date spot with the railings around it festooned with locks inscribed with lovers’ names.

Walking up Namsan isn’t difficult, but riding the cable car is popular for more good views.

Cheonggyecheon Stream

Until it was restored in 2005, Cheonggyecheon Stream existed only as a neglected waterway hidden by an overpass. Today, it has been transformed into a haven of natural beauty amidst the bustle of city life.

Narae Bridge, representing a butterfly in flight, and Gwanggyo Bridge, symbolizing the harmony of the past and future, are just two of the more than twenty beautiful bridges that cross the stream. The Rhythmic Wall Stream, lined with fine marble and sculptures, and Palseokdam adorn Cheonggyecheon Stream.

Cheonggyecheon Stream passes close to Deoksugung Palace, Seoul Plaza, the Sejong Center, Insa-dong Street, Changdeokgung Palace, and Changgyeonggung Palace, allowing visitors to easily visit major tourist sites after a leisure stroll along the stream.
